James “Bo” Gritz was born to be a warrior, and spent 22-years in the military, rising the ranks, serving as a Green Beret commander in Southeast Asia, and an Intelligence Officer and Reconnaissance Chief for Delta Force. He was decorated 62 times for the highest values, from valor to presidential citations. He is a Master Parachutist, and Military Scuba and Salvage Diver, as well as the first military attaché in China (1969-70) and thus speaks fluent Chinese Mandarin. He served as commander of Special Forces in Latin America, and as Chief of Congressional Relations for the Secretary of Defense of the Pentagon. Bo has a B.S. from the University of Nebraska in Law & Corrections, an M.S. of Military Science, an M.A. in communications, and a teaching certificate from the Nevada; he is accredited as a 6th Degree Blackbelt and the chief Instructor for the American Council on Karate Instruction. He is an active FAA Flight Instructor and Commercial Pilot, and worked undercover for the government. His book, Called to Serve, highlights his acquittal of federal charges when President George Bush ordered U.S. Attorney William Maddox in 1989 to “Get Bo Gritz!” as documented in his book and video, Nation Betrayed. He has extensive awards, medals, honors and tributes.
